Fees & Services

  • We accept all private health funds. Private health funds provide a rebate for the majority of physiotherapy consultation costs. Depending on your cover, will determine the amount you receive back.
  • Payments can be made by EFTPOS, credit card or cash.
  • Veterans’ Affairs patients with gold cards are covered for all physiotherapy costs
  • Physiotherapy treatment fees for Workers Compensation and Motor Vehicle patients are billed directly to the appropriate insurance company
  • Some chronic conditions are subsidised by Medicare for Physiotherapy and Dietitian consultations.

Physiotherapy & Dietitian

A care plan exists that allows eligible patients to receive up to 5 Physiotherapy Consultations per calendar year. Fortunately, at Limp in Leap out Physiotherapy in Belfield, there will be no out-of-pocket cost on top of this plan. Patients must see their regular General Practitioner to retrieve this care plan. Your General practitioner must fill out an EPC plan and provide you with a Allied Health referral letter

To be eligible for this program, you will need to meet their criteria including and not limited to:

  • Chronic in nature (6 months or longer)
  • Previous / current scans and investigations (i.e. MRI, X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT Scan)r.
  • To check if you qualify for Medicare funded treatments, ask your doctor otherwise feel free to click here which will take you to The Department of Health website for additional information.


Physiotherapy chronic conditions that may entitle you to Medicare funded physiotherapy include:

  • Arthritis
  • Balance Problems
  • Back and Neck Pain
  • Headaches
  • Knee Pain
  • Hip Pain
  • Nerve pain
  • Foot Pain
  • Joint Replacement
  • Post Surgical Rehabilitation
  • Poor Mobility
  • Shoulder Pain

Dietitian conditions that may entitle you to Medicare funded Dietitian consultations include:

  • Diabetes (type 1, type 2, gestational)
  • Metabolic syndrome
  • Hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • Hyperlipidaemia (high cholesterol or other blood lipids)
  • Osteoporosis
  • Gout
  • Chronic malnutrition
  • Any other chronic issue with a nutritional cause or component that your GP feels required dietary management

Physiotherapy only

Have you been injured in a motor vehicle accident (MVA)?You may be able to make a claim for personal injury compensation under the Compulsory Third Party (CTP) scheme. Limp in Leap out Physiotherapy in Belfield will work directly with you, your doctor and insurer to achieve an optimal outcome relating to a whiplash or other condition.

What you need to do:

  • Get the registration number and details of the vehicle or person that caused the accident
  • Report the accident to the police if they did not attend the accident
  • Speak to your insurer as soon as the incident has occurred. They may get you to complete an Accident Notification Form (ANF).For more information about the process, click here.


If you have a DVA Gold Card or Totally and Permanently Incapacitated (Cold Card), the Department of Veterans (DVA) will pay for physiotherapy services.

​Patients must see a General Practitioner or Medical Specialist to retrieve a referral. The referral is active for 12 months from the date of issue.

The eligible DVA patients will need to present their Gold or White DVA Heath Card at the beginning of the consultation, and their clinical needs will begin to be meet within the initial consultation.

The DVA card holder will not need to pay for their consultation, Limp in Leap out Physiotherapy in Belfield will directly bill DVA.

Physiotherapy only

Work injuries can occur out of the blue, unexpectedly. They can occur via a slip or object falling on them, or even constant repetitive movements. Regardless, stress or strain while on duty should be brought to your employers attention for further instructions.

​Your employer will need to speak to the insurance company they are registered with, or will ask you to speak to them to make a claim.

​When the insurer has been notified, they will contact you, your employer, and if necessary, your doctor to determine how best to support your recovery. The insurer will also provide information about any payments you may be entitled to if you need time off work, are working reduced hours, and/or are in need of medical services.

​Be sure to make a claim through your employer within 5 days of the pain or injury you have suffered. Limp in Leap out Physiotherapy in Belfield can help with:
